OSAKA is an international metropolis that is brimming with business chances. In an international comparison, total production for the prefecture rivals the GDP figures for Australia, ranked 11th in the world, and Holland, ranked 12th in the world. Osaka has long prospered as a city of commerce. During the period of rapid national economic development, Osaka grew into an industrial city as well. As the country's economy settled into a period of stabilized growth, Osaka has been making steady headway into the service and IT industries.

The business infrastructure has an array of public and private industrial support organizations, which offer their services for R&D and other areas to help with developing a business in Osaka.
